Do you need a degree in psychology to apply?

You must have, or be completing, a bachelor’s degree to apply to the MA program. If your major is not in psychology, social work, or counseling, you may still be considered for admission upon completion of required prerequisite coursework. The required coursework includes receiving a B or better in Introduction to Psychology, Abnormal Psychology and Developmental Psychology.  If these were not taken during your bachelor’s degree, you may take them individually at an accredited online, community, or four-year college of your choice.  We do not offer the prerequisites at MiSPP.

For the PsyD program, a graduate degree in psychology, social work, or counseling is required.

In the Certificate in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) program,  you must have a master’s degree in education, psychology or behavioral analysis. This requirement only applies to those completing the certificate as a post-graduate program. See the MA program degree requirements above, if you are planning to apply to the MA program with an ABA concentration.
