MA Program Goals

Goal 1: Students achieve an understanding of their personal and professional responsibilities as practitioner-scholars.

Goal 2: Students acquire the knowledge and skills to qualify as licensed clinicians in areas of assessment, intervention and treatment outcomes.

Goal 3: Students acquire knowledge of multiple psychological orientations with an emphasis in humanistic, existential, and phenomenological psychology and psychotherapy.

Goal 4: Students acquire the skill to analyze and evaluate psychological research and determine applicability to clinical practice.

Goal 5: Students achieve an understanding of and respect for the cultural and individual differences necessary to become culturally responsive therapists.
